Matt Gleason - Managing Director, Community Tennis

Matt Gleason has been in tennis his entire life.  Started playing at the age of 4 and managed to turn his passion for the game into a career.  Matt has been involved in every aspect of the sport from teaching to coaching high school and college tennis teams to directing large public and private facilities and has been actively involved with the USTA for over 20 years. 

Kelly Ferris - Adult Program and League Coordinator

Kelly has been playing tennis in Phoenix for the past 17 years. She has successfully grown the USTA Phoenix league program significantly over the past 3 years.  She served on the Board of Women's Interclub Tennis League for more than seven seven years and has decided to be a part of the USTA Leagues and Social Tennis Programs. She is excited to continue her passion for tennis to help grow all USTA leagues and adult programs and events throughout the valley.

Ellen Pfister - Junior Competitive Coordinator

Ellen grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her parents and three sisters.  She played in USTA tournaments throughout the United States starting at age 12, led her high school tennis team to a state championship, and was a highly-ranked junior player.  She went to college at the University of Iowa where she was a member of the Hawkeye tennis team all four years and graduated with a degree in Sports Business. Prior to joining the USTA, Ellen worked for the Arizona Diamondbacks doing sales and marketing work.  Ellen's sister currently plays Division I college tennis, and her husband was the captain of the Michigan State University men's tennis team.  

 

Ellen has always been passionate about tennis and feels extremely fortunate to be able to work for the USTA.  She is excited to help provide play opportunities for junior players and is looking forward to promoting tennis throughout the valley.  

Allie Pavlansky - Tennis Service Representative

Allie grew up in Youngstown, Ohio with her parents and sister Danielle.  She played in USTA tournaments as a junior and made three state appearances in both singles and doubles. Allie was also a standout basketball player, helping her team to two consecutive district titles and a regional finalist in her senior campaign.  Her father Patrick was her coach on the hardwood. She attended the United States Naval Academy and was a member of the Women’s varsity tennis team for two years. Allie graduated with a degree in Political Science. Prior to joining the USTA, Allie worked for Lincoln Reimbursement Solutions which is a female run medical billing company.  

 

Allie has always had a strong affinity to tennis and wants to get a racquet in everyone's hands.  She is very grateful to have the opportunity to promote tennis in the valley!
