NTRP Ratings
The National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) fuels fair and competitive play by matching players based on their skill level, from absolute beginners (1.0) to seasoned pros (7.0). Your rating is earned through NTRP tournaments and league matches, with performance tracked and updated throughout the year. These ratings, precise to half-point increments (3.0, 3.5, 4.0), are published annually.

Rankings
Rankings are determined through tournament play and are updated every January, reflecting a full year of competition. Players are ranked nationally using a points-per-round system, in line with the USTA’s Adult Tournament Alignment. Points vary based on the event’s level (L1-L7), draw format, and the round a player reaches.
National Standing Lists (NSL) are updated monthly, tracking player standings over a rolling 52-week period and often used for tournament seeding. Both Year End Ranking Lists and NSLs can be filtered by section and district.

World Tennis Number
For players in USTA and ITF events, the ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) introduces a global standard for everyone—no matter your age, gender, or skill level.
To get started, just start playing! Your match results will generate your initial rating, and you'll receive separate WTN rankings for singles and doubles. With the ITF World Tennis Number, you'll be able to track your progress and enhance your game. WTN helps with seeding, selection, and flighting in USTA and ITF tournaments, ensuring you're always matched at the right level.
